Why does asparagus make our pee smell funny?

Asparagus is a delicious and nutritious food. The green, spear-shaped vegetable tickles our taste buds, is full of vitamins and other good stuff, and has one hilarious side effect – it makes our pee smell funny! We asked food scientist Brittany Towers Lewis to help explain the reason behind this stinky phenomenon.
